IORI STAY

“IORI STAY” is a decentralized machiya (traditional town houses) hotel brand that is limited to one group per day. We renovate empty houses around the town with the help of craftsmen and operate 11 properties owned by us and 8 properties by others on management contracts.
As a result of pursuing local resources and their charms, we have come up with the concept of “traveling Like locals” by staying in traditional town houses. By providing a true local experience full of humanity, we aim to realize “Travel like a human” (travel that enriches people’s lives through human interaction).
From the perspective of community development and the SDGs, this project is the one we are focusing on the most, as it will not only reduce the number of vacant houses, but also maintain and improve the townscape.
